The X-spat Serie of 3D audio workstations is a full line of products dedicated to 3D audio soundscape creation for live surround sound, opera sound reinforcement, theatre sound automation, corporate event sound engineering, ambient audio design and DVD post-production enhancement.
When equipped with one or more optional base version units and used in conjunction with X-Spat Controller II on Mac OS X, the workstation can be used as a multichannel audio processor and playback system for theatrical productions and events where a high number of speakers is required (from 16 to 64). Alternatively, one or more X-spat player still represent an economical and powerful solution for any kind of installation (from 16 to 32 speakers).
The three X-spat boX2 models available are compatible with See'n'Sound and can support and enhance DVD post-production workstations like Symphony, Pro Tools and Nuendo.
The extreme versatility of X-spat boX2 makes difficult to explain all its potential and all the possible configurations. Please refer to the Bibliography and Education areas for more information. The following specs, concerning the base version of X-spat boX2, are preliminary and subject to changes.

- From 8 to 64 AES/EBU in/out, 44.1-48-88.2-96 kHz 24 bit
- Safe-three®, proprietary triple safety control technology
- Optional remote control from computer via USB or MIDI
- Real Time DSP in floating point for each channel featuring, amon the others, Spatialisation™, ITD, Doppler, HF Damping, Elevation, Obstruction, Source Direction, etc.
- Free Output Setup Configuration allowed, from 4 to 64 speakers, including standard 5.1, 7.1, 10.2, etc.
- Internal sequencer, featuring LOOP, N-LOOP and ONE SHOT mode, velocity control +/- 50%, 2x-1x-0,5x-0.25x each track, time base 10 ms
- Led monitors for audio and MIDI signal
- Sync word clock in and out
- MIDI In, Out and Thru ports
- Two expansion slot for optional cards (Optional Firewire card shipping)
- Four RJ.45 ports with led wizard configuration hosting RS485 protocol
- Dolby® AC3, A52 and DTS compatibility
